竹 - Bamboo

The Bamboo Doorway is one of the four murals on Jack K Alley that Nancy Mora created.

Sherwin Williams was the sponsor for the anti-graffiti paint sealer, and CP Painting donated their labor and time to apply it.

In Chinese culture, bamboo represents longevity, and the number of bamboo stalks is essential. There is a total of Eight bamboo stalks in this mural. In Chinese, the word for eight, "Ba", is similar in sound to the term "Fa," which refers to wealth or fortune. Eight is a prevalent number in Chinese culture and is considered the highest form of good luck and prosperity. Chinese businesses incorporate eight telephone numbers, addresses, and even business names. In Canton, the use of the number 88 relates to double joy.

The mural to the right is done by the artist who goes by Bunhunnid_art on Instagram.
